Musician, sound artist, drummer.
Based on his experience as a percussionist and the experience of making and listening to sounds cultivated through the production of sound sources with environmental sounds, he uses things that are not initially musical instruments, such as things that exist in each environment, sculptures, natural objects, bodies, and devices. Sound expression. He pursues improvisational words that erase the boundaries between the sounds he makes and the sounds of the environment and immerse himself in the sounds.
So far, he has released three works, "The Shape of Water (2015)", "Falling Falling Full (2017)," and "Mujou (2022)" from the prestigious minimal ambient label SPEKK.
It is based on sound source production by improvisation with environmental sounds that occur by chance, music production for movies, video works, stage performances, commercial facilities, performance tours in all prefectures, and going to meet people without performing live performances during the corona crisis. "Tour to listen to human sounds" planned with a purpose, space exhibition, sound installation, a dynamic exhibition that continues to exhibit sound while staying and living in the exhibition hall, designing with Yuichiro Konno's performance unit "Bastorio" He has been developing activities centered on sound expressions, such as participating in performances and performances and participating as an executive committee member from the launch of the “Reed Art Wilderness Festival” held in Shiretoko, Hokkaido from 2021.

In 2005, he started working as a design unit called "gift_" in Ebisu, Tokyo and opened a gallery shop called gift_lab as a laboratory and a small place for cultural exchange.
Toshikazu Goto designs space and furniture, and Fumiko Ikeda handles project curation and styling.
Since the early 2000s, he has actively participated in projects such as TDB (Tokyo Designers Block), CET (Central East Tokyo), DesignTide Tokyo, etc., simultaneously transforming the city's gaps into galleries.
After the Great East Japan Earthquake, he started "Yamanoya" in the Echigo-Tsumari area (Tokamachi City, Niigata). Three years later, he also moved his base in Tokyo to Kiyosumi Shirakawa and is currently practicing a double local life in these two bases.
